2008 Academy of Country Music Nominees
The ACM nominees were announced live on the CBS Early Show with the help of country superstars Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood
during a press conference at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville.
It was also announced that for the first time in ACM history fans will get to choose the winner of Entertainer of the Year this year. Voting
begins May 5 with more details being announced at the official ACM site.
Winners to be announced live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on CBS Television, in a ceremony hosted by Reba McEntire
on Sunday, May 18, 2008 8:00 PM ET.
Kenny Chesney leads this year with twelve nominations, including Entertainer of the Year - followed by Rodney Atkins with six nods including
Top Male Vocalist - and Brad Paisley, nominated as Top Male Vocalist, Album of the Year and Video of the Year for "Online."
